Respect Victoria

Working again with Today Design and fellow freelancer, Ashira Allotey (producer), we crafted a suite of images
that communicated a diverse vision of non-stereotypical relationships.

We managed the locations, talent, invoices, consent forms and mostly importantly: snacks. Additionally, we spent a day shooting staff headshots in the Melbourne office.

I am currently working with the team again to create a series of social media videos about shifting men’s attitudes.

Justice Connect

How do you explain a sophisticated digital tool that helps connect lawyers with pro-bono clients? With video of course. This large project required animations, nine interview setups, and variations for six target audiences.

We invested a lot of time in pre-production to hone the scripts, leading to smooth shooting days and fewer headaches in the edit.

The Pro Bono Portal is now in use across 7 countries, helping thousands of people access justice.

SecondBite

Like many non-profit clients, Second Bite sought to create a range of videos and photos with a relatively constrained budget. So for this project, I worked solo, flipping between my video and stills camera. Over four shoot days, we created four fundraising videos and a full set of new images for ongoing general-purpose use.

Food insecurity in Australia is a hidden problem yet its magnitude is enormous. I’m so thankful to the people who shared their experiences with us and I hope that I’ve done them justice.

Thank you Laura Hill from Porter Novelli for guiding this project with your strategic expertise at each stage.

Safe Steps

When I worked at ASRC one of my key tasks each for each fundraising campaign was to create a visual narrative that could complement a de-identified case study. The challenge is to capture a realistic and dignified variety of images that can emotionally motivate the audience.

For this shoot with Safe Steps, the talent was also their fundraising manager, Courtney Fandrich!
It was very special to be welcomed to their Family Violence Response Centre (operated from a secret location in Melbourne) and learn more about the range of support services they’re offering. Thank you for having me.
